y’all in the notes missing the point:
you can go there but it’s not for you. if you’re straight, your love is legal in every single country. you aren’t being murdered in russia in concentration camps, you aren’t being denied housing or jobs due to your sexuality, you aren’t being forced into homelessness by your family for being straight, you aren’t being raped/murdered for being straight, etc.
the point is that pride rose from a riot and subsequently the fight for lgbt rights against police brutality (specifically lesbian, gay, bisexual, and trans rights). it was for lgbt people, not straight people.
remember that.
